AtishHuman being had been hunting almost through evolution. As hunters, people have taught themselves to be alert, confident, inventive to look for means which allowed tricking the most careful wild animals. They have also learned how to hunt in groups and share the prey. In fact, their physical and intellectual development they have been able to survive by was reached in hunting. Hunting was an industry, religion, job and pleasure even for a Stone-Age human.
That hunting has always been more than a job necessary to survive is proved by magic inspiration penetrating Gobustan's rock pictures, an amazing gallery where local history has been depicted in thousands of petroglyphs. Pictures of wild bulls, goats, deer, lions and stylized humans perfectly suit each other in hunting and fishing sceneries. Let us note the pre-hunt magic ritual to carve straight lines (supposed to be "arrows" or spears") into goats'and deer's pictures of the Gobustan "stone books" to attract success is still repeated today: hunters of the Oguz District, Azerbaijan, hammer in a wedge into a wild goat's or deer's trace for them not to escape and be their prey.

Horse Riding Tour

atThe symbol of Fauna in Azerbaijan is the Karabakh horse which is a mountain-steppe racing and riding horse which can only be found in Azerbaijan. It is one of the oldest breeds, with ancestry dating to the ancient world. The horse was originally developed in the Karabakh region in the 5th century and is named after it.
"A brave man is known for his horse". This saying describes the sense of pride and love of the Azerbaijani people for horses.
Horses have been a matter of pride and dignity for the Azerbaijanis for centuries. Azerbaijani epic literature represents a number of legendary horses, such as Girat of national hero Koroghlu or Bozat of another hero, Gachag Nabi, which throughout history came to the rescue of their masters, keeping them away from danger.

Gobustan Tour

qobustan-1Gobustan State Historical-Artistic Reserve - archaeological reserve in Azerbaijan, south of Baku, on the territory of the Karadag and Absheron district, which is a plain located between the south-eastern slope of the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range and the Caspian Sea, and part of which is a cultural landscape of rock drawings, located on the territory of 537 hectares. Monuments of Gobustan are divided into two groups: 1) rock carvings and 2) the ancient sites and other facilities. Gobustan mountains under the names Boyukdash, Kichikdash, Djingirdag, Shongardag and Shyhgaya concentrated evidence of the inhabitants of the region of the Stone Age and subsequent periods - carvings, parking rights, tombstones, etc..
